About the nursery
The building is an old church, comprising of two floors. Access to the nursery is by ringing the bell and a friendly staff member will greet you. We have a robust safeguarding procedure to ensure unknown people do not enter the nursery.
The ground floor is a large open room with a tall ceiling covering all seven areas of learning. This is where the older toddlers & preschoolers are based. There is a adequately equipped toilets to support potty training and easy access to the garden.
The first floor is made up of two sections, one for non-mobile babies incorporating the 3 areas of learning: communication and language, physical development and most importantly personal, social and emotional development, the second part of the floor is for mobile babies and younger toddlers which introduces the seven areas of learning. There a separate sleep room with daily clean bedding. Access to a toilet for those looking to start potty training.
We have a fully function kitchen with our in house cook, preparing hot healthy meals everyday for Lunch & Tea. Snack is provided every mid-morning & mid-afternoon for all children.
About Turtle Club
Turtle Club is our Holiday Club which caters for children 8 years and younger during inset days, half terms and school holidays.
At Turtle Club, activities are planned for in advance and indicated on the booking form. This will allow you and your child to book sessions that best suit their interests. Holiday club provision is recreational rather than educational meaning that our activities are designed to be fun, exciting and varied.
Please note that the activities are not exhaustive, some examples include sports, crafts, board games, puzzles, group games and local walks/ outings.
Booking forms will be updated with activities prior to each holiday. Please look on our facebook page or in nursery for the most recent form
